Contract beds – often referred to as hotel contract beds – are beds which are specifically designed for commercial use. The types of businesses and organisations that buy contract beds include hotels, B&B’s, universities, boarding schools, hostels and housing projects providing furnished accommodation.

Such businesses and organisations have a legal responsibility to provide contract beds and mattresses for their guests. Failure to do so can render insurance policies invalid in the event of a fire, and can also lead to prosecution in such circumstances.
